Journal writing, which takes many forms, is used extensively in the LBW sessions both at home and in session. Journal writing is personal, informal writing that is usually read only on a voluntary basis. It can help begin discussions or get participants involved with a text. Journals can be used to log anything and are most effective when we return to them later to try and pull together some emerging strands or examine change over a period of time.
